Thoughts

Dear Max and Georgia I have known your Mum, Lisl, since she was a young child, As a friend of Kathy, your Nana, I lived round the corner, in Bexleyheath and had children of a similar age and we often looked after each other’s children. I remember Lisl as a bright, lively, happy and very pretty girl, who (on the whole) was very caring towards her younger brother. Because that was all a long time ago, and because in 1980 I moved to Yorkshire, my memories of Lisl as a child are not very specific. I think Lisl and Damion only came with Kathy once on her visits to me (ask Nana about the lamp-post) so over the years, although I didn’t see much of Lisl, Kathy always kept me up to date about what was going on in her life. Sometimes, much more in recent years, I have seen Lisl when I’ve been visiting Kathy. What I’ve seen, tallies with what Kathy had told me: Lisl was a warm and friendly woman very focussed on her children and what she wanted for them, but at the same time was strong, independent, knew her own mind and could articulate it with confidence. She was also very stylish. I’m so sorry I missed Lisl’s hen party, and her funeral, though I did sort of attend the latter thanks to internet video technology. The hymn / music choices were so appropriate and touching, that I suspect that Lisl, with her organisational skills and attention to detail had a great deal of input into the planning. I’m so glad and relieved that she had so much support around her, and that her family and friends worked together to enable Lisl make and carry out her own wishes. With love Christine Dellen

I will never stop missing you Lisl. You were always there for me, I loved you with all my heart and treasured our friendship. I always knew what an amazing person you were but the last couple of years you just blew me away with your resilience and positivity. You have truly inspired me to live my life better, to enjoy each day at a time, not to wait for everything to be good before I choose to be happy. At the moment my heart is full of sadness but also full of so many happy memories. You had your dream wedding day and married your soul mate and what a day that was. I have never felt so much love in one place but I am heartbroken that you and Dave didn’t have more time together as husband and wife. From school it was always Lisl, Donna & Mandy. What a huge hole you have left in our lives that can never be filled. I could never have imagined you would not be here to share the years ahead. Love you always 💔 and sending so much love to Dave, Max, Georgia & all your wonderful family who you adored so much xx

Lisl you will be in my heart forever and always, what a special friend to my mum you were. I will never forget the holidays, countless days and nights out all filled with such lovely happy memories. I’ll never forget when you took me to get my lips done for the first time whilst mummy was on holiday and it was our secret but we couldn’t hide it from her for too long and told her as soon as she got home. Thanks for always being there for me and for mum and being an amazing friend to us and everyone around you. Sleep tight our beautiful angel, kind courageous and always lived life to the fullest. We will miss you x
